Awwwww....

Many thanks to Grandpa who was camera ready at the hospital. We couldn't wait to post these beautiful pictures of our new family member:

The one and only Holland Paige (to which my 11 year old Nephew says "why'd they name her that?"):

And the lovely family Michael, Jessica, Gwyneth and Holland the day after baby's birth.

Now how does a woman look that good the day after giving birth to a child? I must dig up a picture of myself the day after I gave birth because I swear I still had my gown on and looked like I had been run over by a bus!

If you can't tell, I am overcome with joy for them and look forward to cuddling a newborn baby in my arms again (a baby that I can give back when it starts to cry, that I do not have to nurse, and that I do not have to wake up with at 3am). Yes, my baby days are certainly over but I am delighted to live through Jessica. Thank you all for your kind comments and best wishes!

Wow. Holland Paige is gorgeous but yes you are right re your sister - she looks fantastic. I don't look that good after weeks of sleep and hours of applying makeup. Amazing.

I have never come across the name "Holland" before. Is it popular in the US or is she going to be a trend-setter rather than a follower of fashion?

Reluctant - Jessica will appreciate that remark! She is the one who looks good no matter what - it's really abnormal :)

Holland was picked because they like the Netherlands (they really enjoyed their visit to Amsterdam). Plus, each family member has 7 letters in their first name and Holland works. So there is meaning and I don't believe it is popular in the U.S., yet...

That's a really heart-warming picture. The baby is adorable, and mom looks wonderful dispite giving birth the day before!

She's a very clean, unwrinkled newborn! And your sister certainly does look fantastic

I think it's worth mentioning here that Michael looks hale and hearty himself, especially after the grueling husband-half of childbirth, which, as we all know, can be just as agonizing and stress inducing as anything a woman goes through. Good job, Michael. Oh, and you too, Jessica.

Lou - I'll makes sure Michael hears that comment while Jessica is taking a nap! He is a wonderful Father and Husband - I'm very proud of him (you see, he is my little brother, Jessica is actually my sister-in-law, but she's as close to me as my real sister Steph so I always leave out the in-law part).

Congrats!
And I'd like to say, the little sister looks good and happy considering she is about to have her world rocked by having another baby in the house!!!!!!!!

Iron Chic - Well said...she has no idea how rocked it is. One is a heck of a lot easier than two, or three,or four, etc. and so forth.

What a beautiful baby! And mom certainly does look fab the day after.

I looked like I had been on a two-week drug binge, LOL!

God's blessings on the family.

jessi - thanks, doesn't it make you want one? :)

Sheila - LOL! Me too! I certainly didn't look that good. Thanks for your blessings!

all the blessing and luck for your enlarged family! ;)
I'm looking forward to the day myself and quite frankly I guess I'll be just as happy the day after (if not the actual delivery day) for my ever expanding belly is really getting in the way of my being as active as always!
I sometimes think I'll never get over diapers-age ;) (got 2 boys and a girl on the way)

kpriss - Wow! You certainly have your hands full. Two is my limit - I couldn't imagine being pregnant again ever! Best wishes to you and your family and thanks for visiting!

Now, now, don't go suggesting I should have one of those, lol. Adorable, yes...but I can't have one yet, so you just shush it. :P

wendyb - Thanks so much!

jessi - haha! Sorry :) I wouldn't wish a baby on anyone who isn't ready. I was over there last night and when Holland started to cry loudly, I was out of there!
