It's Tee Time

I was a tomboy growing up so jeans and t-shirts have always taken first place in my closet. And although my style has evolved to include more feminine silhouettes, I constantly scour the online stores for tees. Wearing a ridiculously printed tee is my way of having fun and being my whimsical self. I recently bought the pictured tee for $9 (it features little butterflies and leaves with snails and snail tracks plus the words SO SLOW). I decided to pair it with a fun little skirt instead of jeans.

Some of my other favorite tee finds lately include:

Hinix Tees - eco-friendly designs.
Heavy Rotation - because they hail from my home state Wisconsin and have unique styles at good prices.
Lochers - The right mix of naughty and nice.
Atomica at ShanaLogic - Speaks to the side of me who wants electric blue hair and to be a space-age bombshell.

And of course, the lovely Susan over at Chic Chemise always has great picks to check out. And if anyone else has a favorite place to shop for cool tees, let me know!

Ah, yes, me and my tee are going to have lots of fun come Spring (and I may have finally found something to wear with my electric blue tights):

When I saw the title of the post in my reader, I thought "Oh goody, they're going to do Golf Fashion." NOT. Once again, led down the primrose path by a woman who said one thing and meant something else - and of course, I'm the one that's wrong, I'm the one who leaped to the wrong conclusion, I'm the one who should have waited for clearer understanding. However, it is an attractive little shirt. I think it would accentuate my guns.

Tatiana - Thanks for the tip. Haven't heard of them but I will certainly be looking for it now!

Niharika - Thanks for the tip - we already have our own url and plan to bring the blog over there this month but I will check out the site you mentioned.

Lou - LOL as always! You poor soul lost in a sea of fabulous women. What's a man to do?

Oh I love that tee shirt. I think you and I have similar tastes (in clothes!). I love to wear bold fun things for a change sometimes. I had a skirt a bit like that one for years - it was black but in three sections and attached at the front by huge white buttons. Sounds horrid but it wasn't - everyone always loved it. But then I got it caught on a rose bush one day and ripped it.

And yes, def a good opportunity to give those tights an outing. Keep away from the skateboard though!

Reluctant - It's depressing when nature ruins our lovely things isn't it? This would be a perfect outfit to board in though. Let's see, a 36 year old mother of two at the local skate park wearing this top, skirt and the tights...hmmm :)

haha I reckon you should give it a go. It would amuse your children anyway. And 36 is young!!!! No wonder your legs look better than mine - you have a 5 year advantage! Go for it!

Reluctant - I would probably break my right arm :), but yes, I am still young enough to get away with it!

If you ever come across some sexy, fashionable vegan shoes, let me know, as it's pretty hard to find a pair that don't make me look like a hippy earth mama.

Oh, look. My fiancé, Reluctant Blogger, is leaving comments here, too! I almost feel a stab of jealousy! And what on earth was she doing in that rose bush to rip her clothes?! That woman!

Miss McWhore - I shall keep my eyes open for a pair of stunning vegan shoes - you have sparked my interest for a new post...Reluctant is a fine gal and it seems you have your hands full :)

Ooh, yes, a post on vegan fashion would be great!

Oh look, there's my lovely Slutty. Do find her some shoes, Michelle - I am going to be horribly embarrassed walking down the aisle with her if she is dressed like a hippy earth mama.

And the rose bush thing was an accident. One of my clumsy moments - I just sort of tripped and fell into it. And I wasn't drunk, honest!

Miss McWhore and Reluctant - so a vegan fashion post it is - thanks for the idea. I am clumsy as well so I do believe you on the rose bush incident :)
